The main activity of ZIP is the coordination of the national debate program, which involves a total of 1,000 young people and 100 active debate mentors, teachers, and organizers. As part of this coordination, we provide administrative and pedagogical support to 60 debate clubs at the primary, secondary, and university levels. Simultaneously, we also organize twelve national debate competitions annually, conduct training and workshops for teachers and youth workers, and organize workshops, debate schools, public forums, discussions, and debates. As part of our development and research activities, we develop debate methodology and prepare pedagogical materials. Our institute's lecturers have conducted numerous training sessions in Slovenia over recent years, with participation from over 1,000 teachers of all educational levels. Our lecturers are exceptionally well-qualified, and participants consistently rate the seminars very highly.We are frequently invited to lead trainings and lecture at various similar seminars abroad, including in China, South Korea, Qatar, Kazakhstan, the USA, and numerous European countries. In the last few years alone, Za in proti lecturers and tournament judges/organizers have played a leading role in executing debate events in Finland, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Italy, Croatia, Serbia, and Turkey, as well as in organizing the European and World High School Debate Championships.
