At Za in Proti, we use debate methodology and other forms of education to promote critical thinking, argumentation, public speaking, and active citizenship. Our services are designed for schools, businesses and for other organizations and partners in various projects.

For Schools

Seminars for Teaching Staff

During the school year, we can organize seminars on debate methodology for your teaching staff, either for beginners or advanced participants. The seminars can focus on the use of debate methodology in the classroom, including debate as a tool for teaching subject content, support in preparing students for essay writing, and debate as a tool for foreign language learning. We also offer seminars focused on argumentation skills, public speaking, and other elements of debate. The content and duration of the seminars are tailored to the needs of your school.

We offer interactive workshops in argumentation, critical thinking, public speaking, and debating. Our workshops usually last 5 school hours and are most effective with groups of up to 18 participants; if needed, multiple groups can run in parallel. They are intended for all students, with the option to specifically include gifted students or groups within civic education programs.

Network of Debate Clubs and Tournaments

We invite schools to join the network of primary and secondary school debate clubs and to participate in our tournaments. A club can be established at any time during the school year; members usually meet once a week and prepare for selected tournaments, which our institute organizes on a monthly basis during the school year. When establishing a club, we provide support, training, and workshops for mentors. We also support more than 60 existing debate clubs within our network.

For Companies

For companies, we design training programs aimed at developing public speaking skills, persuasive argumentation, effective communication, teamwork, and strengthening negotiation techniques. We organize interactive workshops or seminars tailored to the goals of the company or organization. The programs are custom-designed, ranging from short intensive modules to multi-day programs.

Project Partnerships

We collaborate as partners in national and international projects in the fields of debate methodology and innovative teaching methods, youth work and participation, media literacy and critical thinking, youth engagement in society and active citizenship, and the development of new educational tools.
